In Kathie and The Hippopotamus by Peruvian playwright Mario Vargas Llossa, a Parisian woman (Kathie – played by Liv Boughn) has hired a ghost-writer (Alex Martin) to script the memoirs of her trip to Africa. As the stories become more elaborate and more exagerrated so do the characters.
