Matthew is a film and stage actor who has appeared in such films as Hard Luck, LA Without a Map, and Ang Lee's Ride with the Devil. In 1997 Matthew received an IFP Spirit Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Todd Solondz's Welcome to the Dollhouse. He has been involved with several theater companies in New York including the Manhattan Class Company, Red Earth Ensemble, and Innerspace Theater Company.
