Natalya Brusilovsky Natalya is a performance artist and teacher, focusing on activism to learn, explore, and create a brighter future in her community. After graduating from the University of Iowa with a double major in Theatre Arts and Russian Studies, Natalya Brusilovsky moved back to Baltimore and stage- managed and dramaturged funkopolis' 3 Stories to the Ground, which culminated in a run at the Baltimore Theatre Project and the New York International Fringe Festival. In 1999, she joined Trade City Productions as an actor, performance poet, teacher, and stage manager- which has been nourishing her artistic soul and community yearnings ever since. She has trained in techniques of Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed, David Diamond's Theatre for Living, and participates in CTO/ATA/LA's activism skills-sharing workshops. She began working as a teaching artist with Fringe Benefits Alliance, an educational theatre company focusing on diversity and social justice issues, and for the past 3 years, has been teaching Theatre for Social Justice Workshops and Residencies throughout LA schools and conferences. Lately, she has been performing excerpts from The Witch Story ; The Rise and Fall of Denise Denisovich (her new hip-hopera musical); and her activist poetry throughout these past 6 years in Los Angeles. |

Ann Orion Enkoji Ann is a business consultant, working with artists and designers in Los Angeles. Her company, atmo, focuses on generating ideas and subsequent programs that support and strengthen personal and business goals. She began her working life at the office of Charles and Ray Eames, leaving to become an exhibiting ceramic artist in a studio in Berkeley. She learned about selling art in New York, assisting Stanley Moss with his collection of Old Master paintings. Her journey continued in Singapore to found a spice company and then London as director of business development for Addison Design, the Partners and Citigate. She is currently helping her mother to finish a video documentary on the Martinez family and their seven generations of potters in San Ildefonso, New Mexico. |

Matthew Faber Matthew is a film and stage actor who has appeared in such films as Hard Luck, LA Without a Map, and Ang Lee's Ride with the Devil. In 1997 Matthew received an IFP Spirit Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Todd Solondz's Welcome to the Dollhouse. He has been involved with several theater companies in New York including the Manhattan Class Company, Red Earth Ensemble, and Innerspace Theater Company. |

Mark Farina Mark has organized several art shows at Trade City including the "Terrorist Group Show", "Pants Projex", and "Sucks Oil." His enormous comic book-inspired pop art paintings can be seen drying at Thing Studio, his work space in Venice, CA. |

Kip Hendry Kip is a musician, writer, performer, photographer, and educator of theater for young people. He studied for two years at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts before completing his degree in creative writing from the University of Colorado. He spent several years helping young people to create theatrical performances in Colorado, Alaska, and California. He currently resides in Rome, Italy where he directs theater at an American high school. In 2001, he showed photographs of his travels at the Macchina Fotografica show at Trade City. |

Dong Hoon Jun Dong is a performance and video artist currently attending UCLA School of Art. He recently completed the Mentor Studio Program at Santa Monica College and was an active coordinator of "Manipulations," a two night performance art exhibition at Trade City. |

Sharon Kagan Sharon has been teaching since 1981. A painter and performance artist, she is a Brody Arts Fund Fellowship Award recipient and a California Arts Council Artist-in-Residence. In addition to earning degrees from UCLA, Otis Art Institute and Sierra University (formally International University), she trained with artists, Betye Saar; apprenticed with Judy Chicago, and studied with psychologist Carl Rogers and art therapist Lucia Capacchione. Over the years she's taught in public institutions, learning centers and corporations - places like UCLA Extension, the Esalen Institute and Mattel Toys. Sharon is currently an adjunct professor at Santa Monica College and has helped to develop their mentorship program for gifted art students. |

David Lynch David received a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the University of California at Los Angeles. He has been involved in such productions as the Kentucky Cycle, The Cherry Orchard, and has been seen at Trade City in High Glamour in Ypsilanti, Yard Sale, Ockham's Raiser, and White House Dogs. |

Kim McCann Kim graduated from Grand Valley State University with a BA in Communications with an emphasis on Writing for Media. She worked for the Public Broadcasting System for three years as a Jane of all trades; running sound, lights, stage managing, ADing, TDing, producing and directing. Kim has taught film and video workshops to high school students and worked as a researcher for several independent films. She has spent several years as a freelance writer and has been published nationally. Ms. McCann is a founding member of two improvisational comedy groups, "The For What It's Worth Dept.", in Colorado and "Instant Juice", in California. She has also taught adult and teen workshops for improv based on techniques developed by Keith Johnstone. Her involvement with Trade City has included designing and building sets, assistant directing and stage managing. She wrote and directed Yard Sale, in March, 2000 and Ockham's Raiser in May of 2001. |

Paloma Parfrey Paloma is the host of Out Loud at Trade City, a performance poetry program for young writers and performers. She was a member of the Los Angeles team at the National Teen Slam in New Mexico and has headlined as a performer at Midnight Special bookstore. She is a graduate of Santa Monica High and has been an assistant teacher at the Brentwood Arts Center. At the age of 18, her band The Grown Ups, released an album through Rhino Records. She can currently be seen all over town playing with her band The Sharp Ease. |

Edison Park Edison studied acting at the UCLA School of Theatre, Film & TV. He has made several film, TV, and stage appearances in works such as Ninjopolis, Muddy Water Blues, and Hitting the Hydra Head. His one-person show, Saga-munchie was performed in March of 2001. |

Elda Pineda Elda graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the University of California at Los Angeles. She has worked both as an actor and director for Trade City, appearing in High Glamour in Ypsilanti, The Subscription and White House Dogs. |

Christopher Rossi Christopher is an actor and writer. He has written such pieces as Hardcore Amateurs, Amanda Kane, and AMP which was performed at Trade City in early 2001. While living in New York, he acted in such plays as The Invisible Hand (at HERE Theater), Titus Andronicus (at NADA), and Lennon - A Life (at the Garret Theater). |

Reza Safai Reza is a professor of Film and Theater at Antelope Valley College. He received his Bachelor and Masters degree in Acting from The University of California Los Angeles. Reza is the co-founder of the Opiyummy Film and Video group which led to the making of five independently produced films and documentaries. He has acted and starred in several plays throughout the Los Angeles area. He continues to be a key actor in many independent films including Push, F-Stops and Don Quixote. Mr. Safai also wrote, directed, and starred in Transplant - a one person show. Mr. Safai has also worked for five years in Palo Alto with Community Association for Rehabilitation (C.A.R.) as a volunteer and recreational specialist. He is the host of The Simple Stage, a forum for artists to present and receive feedback on plays. |

Hollace Starr Hollace is an actress, a playwright, and a professor of drama and film at Antelope Valley College. Hollace graduated cum laude from U.C.L.A. and continued on to earn her M.F.A. in acting in 1999. Hollace has written numerous children's plays, such as The Writer's Convention, which have been performed by Los Angeles area children ages 5 - 11. In 2000 Hollace performed her one person show My Dad Came Dressed as Marilyn Monroe at Trade City and Highways performance space. In 2001, she wrote and appeared in her play Recess at Trade City. |

Maureen Weiss (Artistic Director) Maureen graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from the University of Southern California. She also studied at The British Academy of Dramatic Art in London. In 1997 she co-founded Trade City Productions with Josh Worth. She has gone on to direct five of their plays - Kathie & The Hippopotamus, Carousel of Dreams, High Glamour in Ypsilanti, The Collaborators, and The Subscription. She has also spent time in New York working for Youth Speaks, a literary arts organization, where she taught performance techniques to teenagers. She is a recent graduate of the Mentor Studio Arts Program at Santa Monica College where she studied and created installation/performance art. |

Josh Welsh Josh works at Independent Feature Project/West where he administers the Screenwriters Lab, Directors Lab and Producers Lab. For the last five years, he has worked on the Independent Spirit Awards, as well as in the Programming Department where he helped select films for the New Visions, Festival Buzz and Documentary Buzz screening series. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, he received his PhD in Philosphy at Johns Hopkins University and taught at Swarthmore College. He is a lifetime member of the Actors Studio and has appeared at Trade City in The Collaborators, AMP and The Subscription. |

Josh Worth (Exec. Director) Josh co-founded Trade City Productions in 1997 and has written four of the companies productions. Josh graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan's Creative Writing program where he received the Jules & Avery Hopwood award for undergraduate fiction. His work as a playwright includes Carousel of Dreams, High Glamour in Ypsilanti, The Collaborators and The Subscription. His puppet show, The Ravenous Pet, which premiered at the grand opening of the Trade City Amateur Puppetorium featured rare performances by socks, surgical gloves, and cherry tomatoes. In addition to his work as a playwright, Josh contributes his graphic design and sound production talents to the companies' projects. He has been involved in arts education for children as a writing and cartooning instructor. He has worked as a graphic artist and multimedia designer for many of the top web design companies in the Los Angeles area. |
